Is it my imagination or has Fodors changed the thread delete policy?

Is it my imagination or has Fodors changed the thread delete policy?
I just noticed something on the thread dealing with the Mountain Dew Green of the new header on the front page.
I cannot add a new posting to that particular thread. Has Fodors "fixed" it so we cannot add to the thread, hence causing it to drop out of sight rather quickly?
Rather than drawing the ire of people over deleting the whole thread, Fodors seems to me to have taken a compromise step.
Can any of you add to the thread? I cannot.
So I am asking if it just my computer configuration or if everybody is experiencing the inability to add a new posting to this thread.

I guess they did not like all the pot shots they were taking over their choice of bilious green. Some of them were extremely witty. I got a good laugh out of reading them.
I don't care if the editors can this thread, I still think it looks like pond scum.
I am not stomping out the door. I have too much fun taking potshots at green colors.

It's been frozen by the webfolks at Fodors. However, as you discovered, you can create a new topic.
By the way, I'm back on Netscape and there is squished text between the search box and the topic list. I wasn't having the problem on Internet Explorer.

I tried Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Opera when viewing Fodors.
All three render the same shade of sewer pond scum green. No relief when I change browsers. I guess we can just get used to it, some web designer who just learned how to make ugly colors has won the day.

Yes, they often freeze posts rather than delete them.
I thought it was odd they froze this one as the topic had changed to advice about screen size and how to adjust so parts could be read, since many were posting they couldn't decipher the "garble". It seemed that posters were now busy trying to help each other make the screen more readable, and for some reason Fodors didn't like that.

WELL, it seems that Fodors had its little toes stepped on! The color is still ugly and distracting but they have chosen to wield their power over us peons and put an end to our revolt. FINE!
I have Explorer and the words are still garbled up! My computer was fine before the change and I see it as a website malfunction. The VERY least Fodors can do is correct it. I will contact them directly to express my dissatisfaction (like that will do anything, I know).

It's green on my new laptop, yellow on the older (a couple of years) computer which has a ViewSonic flat panel monitor. The words to the left of the states are unreadable on both. Now don't anyone be jealous of our yellow. We aren't talking Canary Yellow or Banana Yellow, bright and cheery, but Dirty Drab Dingey Yellow...a new Crayola color.

message, Reading the comments about the lovely green coloring kept Monday from being a boring beginning to the week. Reading about the farting dog had me wondering what Tuesday may bring.
Thanks for making me laugh

Gosh OO, a NEW Crayola color-DDD yellow-
I did enjoy the reference to Mountain Dew as well-
I took my Crayola Box on the road
today to compare to other computers-
my wine guy matches my green yellow crayon, as does
one of my clients. My neighbor was sitting in the sun with his IBM LT
and things got more yellow there. Back here at the ranch I am still matching
my crayon.
And, gosh dingit, I can read the message
to the left of the states too...
'ta well, Northern CA is pretty liberal
