Hi, WE are planning a trip to Florida in the last week of Nov and the first week of Dec. We may be short on time as we plan to do all the theme parks . WE have read in a book that the new animal kingdom is a waste of time. Is this true? What would people recomend? Also is there lots to do at these theme parks if you really don't like the big rides. My husband loves the rides and I don't. Someone suggested that Bush garden is better to see than the animal kingdon? Is this true? Hoping for some good advise.

Have visited Florida and WDW last week in November, don't do it unless there is no other time you can possibly ago. The worst crowds I have ever encountered.
The parks actually close the gates and reach full capacity early in the morning. An hour wait for an attraction is normal.
This is not the news you were looking for, but if you time your visit after thanksgiving week as you also indicate first week in December you will be in Florida, you can see a lot more under much better conditions then the week before.
You will probably get more answers if you post your questions again under the title Florida Nov/Dec

Hi, I wish it was us going again. First of all the animal kingdom is not a waste of time. And in every theme park with the exception of the Magic Kingdom and the T.T.T. in M.G.M. you can go on all the rides even if you normally don't because most of them don't have alot of motion, at least not enough to make you sick. But they do have stories to them.
My mother who is not only scared of the rides but gets sick as well came on one because we dragged her and couldn't believe that it wasn't like she thought that it would be. Let me also give you a phone number: 1-800-446-5365 call this number and ask about fall fantasy packages.Great Deals. Also you can get a room for $64. per night staying at the Walt Disney hotel, ( All Star Movie, All Star Music or All Star Sports) Just call that number and you'll get loads of info.Have a Great Time!!!!!!!!!

HI! WE LOVE Disney, Orlando. Animal Kingdom is great! The Lion King show there is not to be missed, also safari ride, Tarzan show, River Rapids ride, train to Conservation Station. Best bet is to get multi-day flex pass, buy at disney Store before you leave if you can. Also Universal new Islands of Adventure is supposed to be great, my neighbor went in July & highly recommends. What are ages of adults & kids in your family? That will make difference re recommendations on attractions.

Animal Kingdom is only a waste of time if you go into it expecting a zoo with all the animals placed right in front of your face for your convenience. It most certainly is not a zoo. In its own way, Disney created a fairly realistic safari ride. This means that you may or may not see all of the animals. They are not out there necessarily doing a song and dance for the visitors. There are educational programs there and wonderful entertainment (don't miss the Lion King show). We loved the park. The rides that may give you the most problems if you don't like rides are Countdown to Extinction (it jerks you all over) and the raft ride in Asia. It is a small park, and can probably be done in half a day. In the Magic Kingdom, you won't want to go on Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain (though they are all great fun). However, there is more than enough to do. You will be there during Disney's millenium celebration. Be sure to go to Epcot and check out its millenium pavilion which will highlight the cultures of approximately 30 different countries (countries that are not already at Epcot). Disney is my favorite place in the whole world. We are going again for my 18th visit in October, so feel free to email me if you have any questions.
