Only 30 so far. My husband has been to 48, all except Alaska and Hawaii. I am missing those plus big sections in the middle of the country.
My husband's family's rule for counting a state is that you have to touch ground (dirt) outside an airport. My in-laws drove me across the bridge from Memphis years ago so that I could get out of the car, stand briefly in a field, and count Arkansas.
