I've been to 31 states and both eastern and western Canada. It's been 25 years since I've been to Europe, but I'm tackling some European countries this fall. I'll get back to visiting some more states next year. ;)

Ummm....52? Are we talking about the United States??
Updating my earlier post -
we now have been to 28 states now... |
Lived in MA and CT.

All 50 - also Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. But a few of them hardly count since I was a toddler on a motor trip with my parents...a LONG time ago.
Only 40 states, but more than 50 foreign countries, so guess I'd better tackle some more of the good USA!
What about DC?
I've been to all states except Louisiana, Florida, Alabama, and Maine.
My son (17) and I have visited 49 states together. Each summer, we take a 15-17 day roadtrip and visit different areas of the country. Plus, we usually go somewhere for Spring Break. We have had a great time doing it. Our 50th state is Alaska, and we are going there in June.
Since I posted in 2005, I have completed my quest to see all 50 states. The last state was W. Virginia. It was a wonderful way to spend long weekends.
I, too, have checked off the final three and have now visited all 50. Since my post in May on this thread, I made a geneaological research trip to Connecticut and Rhode Island with a cross-country train trip back home for dessert. Then, later in the year, I made a northern rockies/plains road trip a aced my 50th - North Dakota.
This year, in three separate trips, I revisit some of my faves. |

47, California, Hawaii and Alaska to go!
All I need is North Dakota. I might not actually ever make it there. But I've been to Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Guam, and the Panama Canal Zone when it was still controlled by the USA--so do 4 "other entities" equal one state?
Together, (over the 16 years)my husband and I have visited 45 states. (Alaska & Hawaii twice)
We are missing North Dakota, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Idaho. We are going to Montana in April 2008. He has been to Michigan and I have been to Utah. We don't count those two because we have not been to them together. It is interesting that we are both missing Mississippi and North Dakota ! We live in NY. Caren |
We have been to at least one country in each continent. In Africa--South Africa and Egypt.
In South America, just Venezula. We did 2 weeks in Australia for our honeymoon. In North America, we have done US (45 states as noted above and spent more than one night, no airport only or drive through), all of the provinces in Canada except Saskatwen (sp !) and Manitoba, Mexico and some of the Carribean islands. In Asia, we have done Japan and Hong Kong, and I have done Beijing, China. In Europe, we have done Greece, Turkey, Russia as well as "Western Europe"--Portugal, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, France, England and Ireland. We have only lived in NY--unless you count the 4 years I lived in MA for college. We are in our late forties. |
