Free tickets to DC events Sept 28 & 29

I cancelled an upcoming trip to DC and have three tickets to Capitol Steps on Sept 28th and three tickets to "To Kill A Mockingbird" at Ford's Theatre on Sept 29. If you can use these, please post here and we'll work out a way for me to send them to you. The tickets to Ford's Theatre are at Will Call.

I hope you and your parents will be able to visit DC some other time, hopefully in the very near future. Let us know when you're coming ... I bet we might be able to round up one or two and buy you guys a beer, or perhaps something even more civilized. Take care, and ciao for now. L

Just found out that Ford's Theater is graciously allowing refunds due to the events of last week so those tickets are not available. I'm very impressed with the theater -- what a generous policy. I look forward to being in their audience on a future visit.

And, thanks, Leone. I'll let you know when we reschedule.

Arabella,
May I make a suggestion? If you still have tickets to any D.C. area event, how about letting Leone contact the local Red Cross, and donate the tickets to those incredible rescue workers. I'm sure by that time, an evening to relax would be a wonderful way to say "thank you".

I'd certainly be happy to help get the tickets to any group ... I'm assuming you reserved at Chelsea's in Georgetown (are the Steps still there twice a week?). It would be intresting to know what type of show they are presenting, given September 11th. But we'd need to handle it off-line ... using your e-mail address. I'm not offering mine since yesterday I posted a couple of richly-deserved "screw you's" to Osama bin Laden. But gotta hurry ... I've got itchy feet, and I'm off to Africa in two weeks. Ciao

Hey, Leone,

Please e me at [email protected] so I can mail the tickets to you. The Capitol Steps are at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

Thanks so much!

On the way, Arabella, at 2:48 p.m. Take care, and ciao, L. By the way, if another e-mail arrives, it's not mine. I think the number 326 should verify things. You'll see.

Arabella - At 3:18 p.m., message arrived my e-mail did not go through due to fatal error (unexplained). Will run a test, and then try again. Ciao

Dear Arabella, my 2nd message to you was returned, like the first. Here's an alternative: please mail the tickets directly to the Red Cross. I spoke with the relief office in DC and you can send them there: American Red Cross, Disaster Relief Fund, PO Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013. You can reach the Red Cross relief people at 202-728-6400. Thanks for your generosity, and have a good day. Ciao.

Leone,

Got the Nimba worm and it affected my email. Sorry you weren't able to get through. I'll contact DC Red Cross.

Encourage everyone to download patches to prevent Nimba -- it's pretty destructive.
