Oh sweetie, I am sorry, I don't want to make anyone cry. She is just so amazing. The words just flowed out of me here, I had to tell you.

My tears were kind of theraputic tears though, like someone identified with our loss, and how real a baby can feel to you when you see him up on that screen swimming around in you. It was almost as if I could reach out and touch him. I feel as though I did.

cmcfong, doll, thank you. And sorry I made you cry travel_addict, thank you both for your good wishes.

I sure am all over the place today, one minute jeans, one minute all this serious talk. (lol) I mean you have to laugh.

Tiff, that is a wonderful story! It's difficult to truly imagine what someone goes through in life until you've walked in their shoes. What a great friend to share those thoughts with you.

Now, about that stretch! Cuz they're going to anyway, lol, my jeans have to have stretch! It's a challenge for me finding jeans / pants that fit. One day I found time to try on every fit and style the LB store carries and what do you know, I got lucky! :-D Everything washes / wears like iron and is so incredibly comfortable. Oh, to have a GTG at a LB Store...what a hoot!

Tiff--Sounds like one of those incredible friendships:) What a sweet thing she did.

kureiff--How funny that it is the same place! It is Picadilly...we used to take the Blue Bird girls there for tea. They have a great assortment of British foods too...so that was always a stop for me to get things for Christmas stockings. We still stop there when we go back to visit, since that is the town we lived in.

Hi Tiff!
Great story...tell your W that I'm thinking of her!

RAVE: OWJ and Tiff. The messages in this thread really sum up who you are. To relish the joy of a friend
when your own hearts ache, is the greatest act of friendship. Bless you.

cmcfong ~ Bless you too, doll. How's that ankle feelin? Got that baby elevated????

Hi OWJ ((L))

AnnMarie, you are so funny with your "Now, about that stretch!"

mms ~ what are the Blue Bird girls? We don't have that here...

cmcfong Sep 25th, 2006 05:09 PM

Aye, aye, Tiff! Dr. DH has had it iced, wrapped and elevated for four days. It still looks like a very ugly grapefruit and hurts, but it is improving. I think I am being so good about following orders but DH says I am the patient from ........

Oh Tiff, how very sad about your child. Now I'm sniffling too. I've always heard things happen for a reason, but why must life be so unfair to such nice people as you? That just makes me sad.

And along those same lines: OWJ, I would do anything in this world to help you with your endeavor if only I could. You will have your dream, please don't lose faith.

cmcfong, ewww, your ankle looks like a grapefruit? YUK!! But your story about the pet threapy is so sweet it brought even more tears to my eyes. But these are happy tears for the little girl seeing the dog. How very good of you to cast aside your own pain to help a child with a brain tumor.

Now my happy tears for cmcfong are mingling with the sad ones for Tiff and OWJ.

OK, let's take a happy turn in this post. Tiff you played the ukelele beautifully!! Thank you for playing and singing your little song for me. I think you have a great future as Don Ho's successor. I hope you will take that as a compliment, although I'm not sure I would, and I certainly wouldn't like it if someone call me a Ho. :-))

Tiff Sep 25th, 2006 06:52 PM

you can call me Ho, just keep it on the down low.
:-))

cmcfong ~ this ankle injury isn't going to affect the 'year of cmcfong' celebration, is it??????

Tiff,

I can relate to your friend - when I was 8 months pregnant with my 3rd child and my DH was out of the country a friend traveled 200 miles and came to stay - just in case....

While she was visiting she discovered that the reason they couldn't get pregnant was that her DH couldn't have children - just after she found out (and called her DH to give him the results) she asked if she could touch my stomach, as she reached out my son pushed out his elbow, she was suprised and emotional- we both cried.

I felt so guilty that I had 2 healthy children and 1 on the way but she wasn't jealous - she wanted their baby not mine.

Her baby is now 16.

Best wishes to you and OWJ.

OWJ - there is going to be a baby out there for you, I can only try to imagine how fed up you are waiting for it to happen but we are all rooting for you.

Tiff--They are a group similar to Girl Scouts. They sell evil mints like the GS's sell evil cookies:D
