Mikemo, The conversation I overheard just happened to be in a clinic. I'm sure that type of conversation has taken place in every profession including lawyers' offices. I don't have any beef with the medical profession at all. Just the governmental profession!

Many prayers for OWJ and Mr. OWJ. And if you want to read run-on sentances -- try the tax code! Yours was nothing!
((L)) P_M: Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. This will certainly make your trip to Hawaii even better! Lee Ann: You're right, Minerva Louise isn't too bad until you've read it a million times in a row. :) |
jorr: That's funny. I was under the impression it was the garbage industry that controlled politics....garbage in , garbage out! LOL!
I am so sorry to hear of the pain and suffering that is going on with so many of you this week! I'm sending prayers for each of you tonight. Including you, OWJ - it will happen in time, I'm just sure of it. JJ5: I'll definitely keep you posted on the GS! DDoc says it'll happen in the next few days - if not will induce around Oct. 5. She's SO ready! You're so sweet to be interested! Rant/Rave: Our facility got a call Thursday from a sister factilty. 911 type need of some help from us. So a co-worker and I went to help them out on Fri. and Sat. This has never happened in the past. We had to drive a couple hours and stay in a motel, but got a couple of good meals out of it as well. The people/facility couldn't have been nicer and so clean & well equipped! The real pay off was when each patient I say thanked me profusely for working with them! Saying things like "This is really what I've been needing!" |
Well it is Saturday evening and I am late posting on this FFR&R.
As dear OWJ knows my prayers are always there for she and OWJ2, my heart aches until the the blessed baby that should be with them arrives. Starrs, my prayers to you and your loved one, may prayers make everything alright..many hugs and good wishes. And dear Smalti, I am so happy that finally the house renovation is finished, I know how tiring it has been, may you now enjoy the fruits of your labor. May it be filled with joy, love and happiness. And I wish you a beautiful honeymoom in PV, it is one of my favorite spots! JJ5, my prayers and good wishes as you still go through the difficult times with your father and your sister. May you find time for yourself with some serenity and knowing the grace of God..peace be with you and your loved ones. I am late posting but I send prayers and good wishes to everyone..enjoy your good times and know that when the upsetting times arrive you have many people that care about you and will hold good thoughts. Peace to all. |
Hello again everyone. I just want to thank all of you for your nice thoughts. This is a tremendous load off, and the timing was perfect.
I am thinking and praying for all of you who are facing difficult times. May you all find peace and happiness, and may all of your dreams come true. |
Greetings fellow insomniatic FFR&R'ers ~
Rave ~ cmcfong unselfishly hobbling over to visit her 8 year old patient/friend with Catie ((&)) You are truly beautiful. I hope your ankle heals quickly (I have sprained my right three times, tell your husband, I was only walking each time, LOL) ((L)) Prayers for you OWJ and OWJ2 ((8)) What's that I hear? Tiff playing her ukulele for P_M, a poor rendition of "Tiny Bubbles" but heartfelt at that! Aloha, baby doll, aloha! (And what great news that DH will come home to his same employment.) ((8)) Canon in D for ethel Chebird ~ Happy Birthday weekend ((^)) Rave ~ cmcfong's message "No matter who you are or where you are in life, you can make a difference for someone else." Well said! Rave ~ kopp's European trip report. kureiff ~ drop everything and run to the Lucky jean store. If you don't have one nearby, Nordstrom carries them. I have made many a doubting soul turn true believer over Lucky jeans! There is a style for everyone, and most of the time they can tell what you like the second you cross their threshold! Hope, peace, and ((K)) for all! |
...or, shop on-line kureiff at...
http://www.luckybrandjeans.com/Default.aspx I LOVE Lucky Brand jeans and clothing--they opened a store here about a year ago and it is very difficult for me to stay away for too long. :-) |
You know AnnMarie, somehow I knew you had it going on with your Lucky jeans!
:S- kureiff ~ One other thing I should add for you or others (and I am sure my AnnMarie will agree) Lucky jeans are handmade here in the US of A. So sizes can vary. I always bring about four pairs of the same size in the dressing room with me and see which one (gulp, ok so maybe I sometimes buy two) fit me. Oh and they have so many with strech in them. Tell them, AnnMarie, sweet angels in heaven, TELL them about the stretch!!!!!! \:D/ |
Tiff: I need the stretch - but also tell us about the SALES! Pleeease!:)
|
I'll check out the Lucky jeans this weekend. Thanks for the tip!
|
kureiff--Here is the perfect excuse for a trip to Seattle:) North of there, at the outlets in Marysville (the Tulalip outlets), there is a Lucky store! Heck, this could be a great Fodors GTG! LOL!
|
That's a great idea, mms!
OSB ~ They have fantastic sales. Often 50% off, about four times a year or so. If you go into their store, ask to be put on their mailing list. You get cards with sales promotions, and sometimes 30% etc, during non-sale times. For years, to me the most uncomfortable thing to fly in were jeans - - - that is, my friends, until I found my Lucky's! Ooooh la la, the comfort! If this post could just save one person from uncomfortable jeans, then it will all be worth it. :S- |
An excellent idea, mms! We can all wear Lucky jeans to the gtg, and then we can hit yarn stores. There's a great yarn store near the Saturday Farmer's Market in Seattle.
And I also know a good tea shop near the outlet malls in Tulalip. :) |
kurieff: I'm assum'in the yarn store = sweaters?
Shopping for jeans/sweaters with a stop for tea...sounds like fun! |
Tiff:)
kureiff--That would be fun! I need to get up there soon. And of course DD loves to shop there. If you can finagle it, let me know! BTW, I just finished a hat for DD...black eyelash yarn with flecks of silver for about the first 2 inches, then black cashmere...oh it is soooo soft!!! |
kureiff--Where is the tea shop? There is a great one in downtown Snohomish, which is only a couple miles away.
|
It was actually in Snohomish. I can't remember the name, though. I was there when I was living in Kirkland and my husband and I stopped in and were amazed by the variety. I picked up some creamed earl grey tea and then some raspberry tea meant to induce labor (I was 9 months pregnant, but it didn't work or at least not immediately). :)
The hat sounds beautiful! Maybe you need a black cashmere hat, too. I need to make a hat for my toddler, but I try to keep all of the yarn I use on her projects machine washable. |
Rave ~ My dear friend who is in her second trimester just emailed me. She said that she is at the point of her pregnancy right now where DH and I were with our first when we found out he was sick and ultimately lost him. (He was our first pregnancy, we lost him a year and a half ago - - the ectopic this past spring was our second loss)
She told me that she could not even imagine the hell we went through. I cried as I read the email, but it was so thoughtful of her to think about me during this special time in her life, to think about our loss because she is at the point of her pregnancy that we were at. What a truly unselfish friend, huh? We were so happy one minute, the most dreamlike happy state you could ever imagine, sheer bliss, to see him up on the monitor during the ultrasound and then within seconds to know there was something wrong. Isn't it always the way that we never know the most significant moments in our lives as they are about to happen? She is a beautiful person and I am so happy for her. How kind that she thought of us during one of her happiest moments and stopped to email me and say, I am sorry that you had to go through what you did. She is my rave. |
Tiff, what a touching sweet thing for your friend to do. Doubtedless you are her RAVE...ours, too!
|
Tiff, you made me cry reading your post. I sincerely hope you & your husband are able to have a child soon as I'm sure you two will make the best parents in the world. You're such a positive and strong person!
