LoveItaly, you must have posted right after I headed for bed.
Rant: so now it's morning and I'm tired!!!!

Rave: jorr, thanks for starting this, and hope your poor fingers are healing.

Rave: I'm going to Paris in the fall with my best friend. Yipee!!!!!

Rave: I adopted a Lhasa Apso from the SPCA at the end of May. He is so cute and is just settling in fine. He's my little shadow. Have had Lhasas before and have been looking for over a year and could not believe my luck!!!!

Rant: still too hot.

Rave: in the low 90's instead of the low 100's.

Rave: the paper just got here so I'm getting my coffee and off I go to read it.

Rave: GREAT trip to Arizona for fun and a very good work trip afterwards.

Rant: Missed Fodorville. Hard to find cell service and internet during the first part of the trip and time to post during the second part of the trip. Can't wait to read and catch up on all the news!

Rave: It's Finally Friday! This week was rough!

Mini-rant: I didn't get here quick enough to give the answer to karens's name that tune question even though I knew the answer!

Rave: It's finally a cooler low 90's today in NJ. This week's 100+ heat & humidity was BRUTAL!

Fingers crossed as client makes decision about $2Million furniture order today. (They're even a travel company!!) Let's hope I win the job. We did "headstands" for this client for 2 weeks straight trying to put our best foot forward.

Rave: Off to MI in a couple of hours and this heat is somewhat better, now only if the humidity would lessen somewhat so I could get this terrible sinus arrow of pain out of my eye.

Rave: Firemen & Police- another lightening strike within blocks of me last night started a house on fire. All 5 family members safe and the house saved, but with immense damage.

Rave: Tomorrow starts my fifth week of marathon training.

Rave: My long run tomorrow is 11 miles.

Rave: There is no better feeling in the world than right after my long run, showering in my outdoor shower and going back to bed (I run at 5AM) in my freezing cold house and snuggling up to Mr.GoTravel and my kitties. Aaahhhhh.

Rave: A great big steak and red wine for dinner tomorrow night.

GoT, I am absolutely amazed that you can actually go back to sleep after your long run! You would think your adrenalene is pumping so much it would be difficult. We need to "talk" about what colors I should make your sign for the Marathon! :D My son is running a 1/2 Marathon in NYC later this month with his auntie and uncle from England. I hope it won't be so hot when they run!

Rave- Family Reunion tomorrow at my Aunt's Lake House and seeing cousins from far away.

Rant - Daughter is leaving today to go back to college and will miss it. But she will be back to help celebrate MY parents 50th wedding Anniversary in a few weeks.

Rant - the cost of the tuitons I am paying. It hurts.

Rave- The good things that are happening to everyone on this board!!! :)

stw, I was going to run the NYC 1/2 marathon because it is all run in Manhattan but I just can't swing another trip right now.

That marathon sold out in minutes!

Yea it did sell out FAST. My other son was supposed to run that one (would have been his first), but he waited too long -- we think on purpose, LOL.

Rave: Had a wonderful week long vacation on the coast of Maine. Discovered a great area that we all fell in love with. Hope to go back again next year.

Rant: The spider bite on my 'captain's quarters' that is extremely painful.

Rant: Biopsy next week - not scared, but annoyed.

Rant: One of my best friends moved to Ohio and I'll miss her.

Rave: Off to Topsail Beach next week to see my Mom, with DD in tow - DH to join us later. A week at the beach will be just what I need.

My R&R are simple.

Rave: My sweet youngest daughter, K, turned 12 this week. She picked out scrapbook stuff so she can start one with pictures from her first trip to Africa (Jun/Jul).

Rave: K still has many moments that she is sweet. I dread the teenage stage.

Rant: School starts next week. More traffic, more schedules, more frantic-ness, more deadlines.

Rave: My older daughter's college accepts AMEX for tuition and the double miles on purchases is going on now. I wish I could pay next semester's tuition now.

Rant: My older son's college doesn't accept AMEX for tuition.

Rant: Tuition - SO's preschool-aged g'children began the enrollment process at a well regarded Dallas private school recently. If accepted, the cost is $20.K pp per year. Stunning!

Rave: Too many parties.

Rant: AMLO's protests.

Rave: Press reports those who value responsibility and respect are abandoning AMLO.

Rant: Cool weather. We need some sun, lol.
