Freaky Friday!!

Rant: Why does the US Postal Service have a bicycle team?

I thought the sponsorships were to promote companies for marketing reasons. Aren't we a little trapped with the USPS?

Rave: Go Lance Go!

Rave: Grandchildren coming this weekend for a beach adventure.

Perhaps USPS is trying to attract customers back to (snail)mail to compete with the free "email" option.

RAVE: I've walked for 32 days in a row!

RAVE: We're past the mid-July hump, going toward cooler, less-humid weather now. (When you live in Raleigh, you celebrate that!)

RAVE: Eating masses of fresh tomatoes and other veggies in all kinds of ways

RAVE: Vacation time with family almost here!

RAVE (An Odd One): The 9/11 Commission giving a blunt, frightening analysis of events leading up to 9/11 (and what is still happening)..... a wake-up call that we all need to hear and think hard about, for the sake of our future.

Rave: Cheap gasoline in the USA
VS $5.29/Gal in PT and ESP and $6.55 in the UK.
Rant: Bush administration's failure to support making the Fed'l tax cuts permanent. Apparently, there was too much DEM support for same which might have given the dems an advantage in the coming elections. The GOP is shooting themselves in the head as well as the foot.

GoTravel, I agree with your rant! And your rave! Jette, I am soo happy for you. I felt that way when my son in law came back from sea duty near Iraq. Rant: Sanibel allowing gators a large enough to bite off a landscaper's arm 2 days ago...any gator larger than 4 ft. should be removed!

Rave: We won the bid on a house after losing 5 others! 1 year of house, great location, some of the best schools in our state, walk to the train, and a big back yard for my kids.

Rant: Losing our fantastic nanny.

Rave: The Yankees look tough to beat.

Rant: A Yankee-Sox series in July shouldn't be almost meaningless.

Rant: The people who make up the baseball schedule. How can you have the Cardinals and Cubs NOT play each other after July 20?

Rant/Rave: Also while mowing I saw a sleepy, small sized skunk meander out of one garden bed and into another beside the house :-?

Rave: The hot weather!

bonnie, all I have to do is read my Dec-Mid Feb post.

Rant: Two Freaky Friday Posts. It cheapens the thread. Political is okay.

Rave: Heading for vacation tomorrow am!!!

Rant: Still have to pack and do laundry - yuck.

Rave: We're going to see the Red Sox in Baltimore on Tuesday! Can't wait to see Camden Yards

Rant: They'll probably lose and Ortiz will be out on suspension.

Rave: I bet we kick the Yankees butts this weekend.

Rant: It still won't matter - the Yank's will win the division in the long run.

Rave: But they'll lose the World Series once again.

Doc - you dog - I thought you never went to Fenway. And why this weekend with the traffic nightmare that our wonderful Democrats have visited upon our city. Have a beer for me.

Go Travel - The USPS competes with UPS and FedEx for package deliveries, express shipments etc. A little advertising doesn't hurt.

Rant--Came home to 98 degree heat. Not usually this hot so noone has a/c.

Rave--Spent more time outdoors than indoors on vacation...nothing better than that.

Rant: the 9/11 report demonstrates how this country was in a fog for 10 years, unaware of the growing threat.

ahhnold: I never automatically accept anything as truth. But the fact is, the most revealing and damning parts of F-911 is simply film footage of the Bush gang. There's no possibility of "most" of F-911 being untrue, and yet that's exactly what you claim.

My guess is, you haven't seen the film and are relying on Fox News for your opinions.

Raves: Going to see Bourne Supremacy.
We had a little tiny Gekko visitor in the house last night. We caught him before Pup did and let him back outside. It looked like a Keystone Cops episode, running around after a tiny lizard with a handful of papertowels, with a large hairy dog barking alongside ((&))

My son leaves in a few hours for a camping trip on an island in Japan, have fun!!
My daughter fell and was all banged up yesterday, today she says she is fine

Rant:
None, nothing is more important than being alive and well and happy.

Rant: That the Red Sox, their fans and the Boston media are so obessed with beating the Yankees.

Rave: That the Red Sox, their fans and the Boston media are so obessed with beating the Yankees, that they seem to be unable to bring their A game against anyone else. It is a SAD, SAD thing when a town can only derive pleasure in another team's losing the World Series because their own history is unbearable and their hope is crushed year, after year, after year.
