Those of you who only pay $20 or less for swimsuits must be young! I bargain shop for everything else, but decided in the last few years that no price is too high for a flattering swimsuit!!! Now, if only Miraclesuits were long-legged and turtle-necked................

I buy my suits at the end of the season, which sounds weird, I know. But it's so much easier to try on swimsuits when already you have your summer tan, and the bargains can be unreal. I bought three this month at Penney's for a total of $20 -- would have paid more than $200 at full price.

I did not have a bathing suit that fit me well for many years before I discovered cyberswim. It is an absolute life-saver for those of us who are well-endowed. Their service is excellent as well.

Ladies, I am going to be in the water a lot now, doing water exercises several days a week. I have never used my suits this much. I tend to buy Carol Wior's, which are too expensive, but they fit me well. (Of course, I try to find them on sale when I can.) How do you take care of your suits? Do you just rinse in cold water, or do you use a mild detergent and hand-wash them each time? I tend to just rinse in cold water....... Wondering how long my suits will last, being in chlorine at least five days in week!

Hi Bonniebroad: Use Woolite in a cold, gentle wash. We have an outdoor spa, so I use my suits often and they wear well and last because of washing them in Woolite. Just my 2cents!

I get most of my suits from A.B. Lambdin catalog and online. They carry a wide variety of top-quality styles and sizes. I know which type of suit works best for me, so I just flip through the catalog or website until I find that exact style and order it.

I use both Nordstrom and AB Lambdin for swimwear. Never had a problem with either one.

Lands End- never had a problem, my three daughters or myself. And we're all built differently.

Another vote for Lands' End. And you can now return them to any Sears store so it's less of a hassle if they don't fit. I believe Sears also carries Lands' End merchandise now, but I don't know if they carry swimsuits.

As a man, I suggest Frederick's of Hollywood.

OK, I haven't tried on swimsuits in 12 years--there is a swimsuit store in the Kansas City area that does custom made suits. You go in and try one of their many 'fit styles' to determine your size like 1-2-3-4-5 and then one of their many styles. THEN you look at hundreds of fabric selections and choose one you like. Voila! In about three weeks you have a custom suit. I even took in one of my favorite old store bought suits, and they have duplicated it for me in the fabrics of my choice for the past ten years. Shopping for swimsuits has become a ten minute process--it's HEAVENLY! Check to see is their is a similar store in your area--my sister lives many states away, and when she comes here, she gets her swimsuits too.

Another Ross shopper here. As others have said, you can't beat an $80 suit selling for about $16. Some of my better finds at Ross have been Anne Cole, Liz Clairborne and Calvin Klein suits.

I've also bought Speedo suits at Costco for around that much.

I swim every day and a suit lasts me only a few months. Right now I have 9 suits that I rotate - so I can't afford to spend an enormous amount of money on them.

Why pay so much at those expensive stores. Goodwill has lots to choose from at a fraction of the cost. Your figure isn't going to look any better in an expensive bathing suit. Fat is fat. Come on ladies!

wemr, I live on the beach. I wear a bathing suit almost every day. Cheap bathing suits do not hold up to salt water or any wear and tear.

GoTravel, Every state in the Union has beaches. Most women don't swim in salt water anyway.

Okay wemr, if you want to get technical about it, and think about this, a very large percentage of the population of the US is within a six hour drive of an ocean.

GoTravel, why would someone want to drive six hours to sit in salt water and ruin a bathing suit? That Florida heat must be getting to you.

Suzie, I don't purchase my underwear from Goodwill. And you shouldn't be donating your underwear to Goodwill. Yuk!
