Food near Lincoln Memorial
What is the place to eat food near Lincoln Memorial? We will be there on a Sunday. Then we will go to Arlington National Cemetary. I heard there is no food there, so we want to know where we can get some food before heading there.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thank you. Where should one go for eating from Lincoln Memorial? We will be taking the TourMobile day pass. So we should be able to visit Mall or other places to eat as well.
By the way how long is one complete circuit of Tourmobile?

Based solely on looking at the map, if you stayed on bus without desembarking (and I would not recommend that - get ou walk around), it seems that could take about 90 minutes, depending on traffic.
About food along the route: 1st choice Union Station, second choice, Cafe in Gallery of Art, also
see FAQ (question 30) at tourmobile website: http://www.tourmobile.com
Enjoy!

the best places to eat on the mall are in the cafe in the basement of the national gallery of art and the american indian museum, neither right next to the lincoln. But, these are both very good and a far cry better than the other museums eat places or the snack stands around the mall, worth the effort and the closest you'll find.

An alternative is the row of fast food trucks that park along 15th st (I believ that's the one) right near the Ellipse, between the Washington Monument and the White House.
When I'm visiting the Mall area in DC I always pack a picnic lunch. The area is so huge and the last thing I want to do is trek to find something to eat. The entire west side especially, from Jefferson to Lincoln to Washington Mon. is somewhat remote/isolated from commercial busineses. Bring a small, soft sided cooler, stop in a deli near your hotel, by the metro stop, or in one of the many office blgds just off the mall at the Air & Space/Capitol end.

Also, there's a foodcourt in the basement of the Ronald Reagan Building (1300 Pennsylvania Ave) which is just a block from the mall. Not all of the places are open on weekends because it mainly serves the offices in the building, but it's open to the public and can give a cool, uncrowded place to relax for a bit.
