I presume you are NOT thinking of driving from the east side of Sequoia Nat Park (where Death Valley is) directly to its west side (where Fresno is). If you were thinking of doing so, be aware there's no road that does that! To get to Sequoia's west side (where the giant trees), you have to either go north into Yosemite or south to Bakersfield.
In seven days, you'll have your hands full seeing just Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Diego. So, as much as I love Sequoia NP, I'd have to recommend skipping it on this trip.
If you are visiting the US during the summer (i.e, over the next four months), visiting Death Valley is VERY inadvisable. Think about its name!! Any enjoyment you might get from the visit will be negated by the suffering you'll experience from the outrageous heat.

Take I-15 into Los Angeles and see the sights of this place (amusement parks, nightlife, shopping, beaches, mass media, and some hiking). Work your way down the coast to San Diego and see its sights (beaches, missions, zoos, Balboa Park). Then return to Vegas. Such a visit will take up most of your days. If you have extra days after being in San Diego, continue north of Los Angeles on the coast before returning to Vegas.

Death Valley is really lovely from October to May, but right now it's about 112 degrees! Like the person above said, it is diffisult to get to Sequoia from Death Valley or Vegas. You have to travel south around the Sierras through Bakersfield, then head back north and up into the mountains from the west. Getting to Sequoia park from Bakersfield would be at least 3 hours, with a good part on windy mountain roads. Then, Sequoia back down to Los Angeles is 5-6 hours, and San Diego is another 2 farther! If you like the desert and don't mind some heat, Death Valley is really beautiful. It's empty and silent, and VERY colorful. It's maybe 3 hours from Vegas, and 4-5 from Los Angeles. Lots of driving, whatever you do, but until you get close to Los Angeles it's wide open freeways where you can go 70-75 MPH.
