Parker House area in Boston....
I will be staying at Omni Parker House; here are my questions:
1. Which T stop is closest? Read it is Tremont but can't find it on my T map.
2. Is there a neighborhood restaurant nearby for breakfast?
3. I need to take a train to Rt 128; can I walk from the hotel to South station (I am in good shape; no luggage)?
4. What commuter line goes to Rt. 128?
5. Is the trolley still running this time of year?
Thank you.

1. There is no subway station called Tremont. But you are in the middle of downtown, and convenient to several other stations that serve two subway lines (State Street, Park Street).
3. Yes, you can. Or take the Red Line from Park Street.
4. The Route 128 station serves the Providence commuter rail line. Maps and schedules at the site that kybourbon gave.
5. The private tourist trolleys run all the time.

There are a couple of coffee shops up the hill toward the capitol building, but the breakfast at the Parker House is outstanding, both the buffet and ordered from the menu and well worth the price when compared to the same thing at a Marriott or the like. Really good service and really good food.
The T: coming from the airport, take the Blue Line to Government Center, go up to the surface and walk one block down Tremont to the Parker House (away from the vast plaza). From South Station, take the Red Line to Park street, go up to the surface, and walk one long block (on the Park Street Church side of the street) or three short ones away from the Common to the Parker House (corner of School and Tremont). Couldn't be easier.
There is a big Borders one block downhill on School Street, should you forget reading matter, and you are only a couple of blocks from Quincy Market etc in one direction and the Public Garden and Charles Street in the other.
It is a very nice old hotel, but be aware that the rooms are small.
