Carmel/Monterey
Will be in Carmel/Monterey area for 2 days. Would like suggestions of place to stay, there will be 5 people. Also suggestions for best things to do in that short time, including restaurants.

The Cheese Shop in Carmel [lower level in Carmel Plaza] is great for picnic fixings:

We also ate at a wonderful French restaurant in Carmel, I will have to find the name.

Great place to stay-a B&B called Carmel Happy Landings. Downtown Carmel is small and charming-all the restaurants are great. Also, a must see-the Monteray Aquarium.
