Steve,
Although I have no experience with the TKTS booths, I hope to in about a week and a half. My research (mostly thru this website) has led me to www.newyorkcitysearch.com. Enter TKTS in the search area and it will give you some useful information. It looks to me like Kiss Me Kate is available at 50% off at least for last night. You never know in any amount of advance time what is going to be available. Give it a try and good luck!

There's never a guarantee on any show and Fr/Sat night does have more demand. That said, it is the summer season and you stand a reasonable chance of getting tix for Kate at the TKTS booth. For most shows incl kate the discount is 50% and then a $2-3 svc charge is added on (per ticket). Keep in mind that if a show advertises (or their box office/website lists) a range of tix prices (e.g. $30-90) the tix offered at TKTS will always be the most expensive seats (in my experience). I"ve had good luck but generally pay $4-50 per ticket after all discounts and fees are added up.
