Best time of day to tour DeNali

What is the best time to take the shuttle bus into DeNali for wildlife viewing? I know for birdwatching, midday is a no-no.

If you mean Denali in Alaska, the answer is the first bus of the day.

Take it from a lifelong Alaskan, make sure to bring DeRepellent for De Mosquitos during DeTrip into DeNali!(actually, Denali)!

I ALWAYS go on the first shuttle. Benefit is good moose and caribu spotting on the way out with bear viewing usually starting after Polychrome pass. Be forewarned about going to Wonder Lake before end of August- I need Deet PLUS a bug hat and still got almost carried away by bugs. Now I won't consider going there before the end of August. Eielson is a whole different area and not at nearly over run with bugs.

On our late June trip, we took the first park bus of the morning. Book early with the park system as seats are limited. (800 622 7275). 10 hour r/t bus ride to Wonder Lake, bugs!! A great trip.
