Bread pudding at a little cafe -- I think it was called Sisters Cafe or something like that... in some little town just outside the Oregon Trail Visitors Center, somewhere in Oregon!

Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate, served in the Dessert room of award-winning Bern's Steak House in Tampa, FL. Absolutely the best dessert in the world! A layer of chocolate cheesecake, chocolate pate, and chocolate mousse, and topped with real whipped cream and chocolate shavings!

Peanut butter pie from a cafe called Mrs. George's outside Rocky Mount NC. Three inches of sticky PB topped w/4 inches merangue. Absolute heaven. Anyone know if this place still exists? I was last there about 25 years ago but I can still remember it.

Profiteroles with chocolate sauce poured from a silver pot, late at night at an outdoors cafe in Paris.

Snacking on crepes slathered in melted chocolate and rolled, drenched with Grand Marnier, while strolling the streets in the evening in St.Tropez in 1991. Perhaps the ambiance had to do with my perception of how good these were. I have never been able to duplicate them since.

Also, more recently, the Grand Marnier souffle and Kahlua souffle at Sir Winstons on the Queen Mary at sunset.

Eight weeks ago, I was a dedicated gym rat working off calories for my next vacation, lol. So, even if I knew about this site back then, I would have skipped the post possibly. Besides, maybe I jogged some new memories or recent desserts.

My absolute favorite is Tiramisu. Surprisingly the best one I had was at Fino, the restaurant is just OK, but the dessert is heavenly! It's in Andrews hotel on Post St, San Francisco.

Cookie, I love Bern's! Those little dessert booths are beyond charming!
I have rarely met a dessert I didn't like, but a recent favorite was the lavender creme brulee at La Casa Sena in Santa Fe. .(gc, you'll have to expand your research...)A perennial favorite are the milkshakes at Andy's Igloo in Winter Haven, FL--they're at least half ice cream, just killer.

Sticky Toffee Pudding at Brown's Restaurant in London--and I'm a chocoholic.

Went to dinner at a friend's house and for dessert we had this marvelous chocolate shell filled with a chocolate raspberry mixture with raspberry puree drizzled on top. I still haven't stopped dreaming about that!

Paris Las Vegas buffet of all places- chocolate mousse with a pistachio center covered with a light coating of dark chocolate- heavenly!

Tortilla Alaska (more commonly known as Baked Alaska) at a resort hotel in the sleepy Mediteranean town of Mazaron, Spain. They also made a phenomenal Crepes Suzette. Have no idea if this hotel even exists anymore.....just came to me, the name of the place was Hotel Dos Playas. Well over twenty years ago, on a summer that was spent in Spain.
