beaver creek/vail - 4 Eagle Ranch

Anyone have any thoughts on the Starry Night Dinner at the 4 Eagle Ranch outside of vail/beaver creek? We would be a family of four with our kids being 9 and 7. Not looking for great food as much as a fun evening. Thanks, SP

Hi Skipop:

I think the dinner at 4 Eagle would be fun for kids that age. It is pretty rustic, but hey, its a ranch. The food is your basic bbq stuff. I haven't been on the "Starry Night" tour, but have been there several times. Usually there's a hayride, campfire, animals, etc. You didn't mention whether you're going summer or winter...

Thanks BLYVAIL. It's a ski trip next winter. We did the Beano's Cabin thing last year and loved the sleigh ride, but the food was average at best and way overpriced for the average quality. So, if we're going to have to settle for average food anyway on a sleigh/dinner night, it might as well be at a more reasonable price.

Hi Skipop:

Sorry Beanos wasn't up to par for you. The times I've been there it's always been very good.

Just so you're aware, 4 Eagle is a ranch - big cabin/barn like buildings, picnic tables, etc. Not the linen table cloths and silver of Beanos. For kids though, it would probably be more fun - run around w/o offending anyone. Its about 25-30 minutes from BC.
