OK, icee, first let me say that no one can say if you're thin or fat or somewhere in between. You just can't see anything past that SMILE!!! You & your girlfriends are lovely! AND, you are killing me! You see, I work in the school system & your pictures are making me want my summer to fly by so that I can get to August and KAUAI!! I can't wait to go now. Problem is that when I get back, summer's over. I was trying not to rush it, but then, there you are with those photos! Geez, summer, hurry up already!
Virgin, I have forgotten where you are staying. August will be here very soon. You are going to love love love love love love Kauai.
We're staying at Islander on the Beach. We have an oceanfront room. My DH wanted beachfront for our morning constitutionals. I can't wait. Haven't even been there yet & I love Kauai!
Is the Shrimp Station still there? That's my best food memory from our 2004 Kauai trip.
I loved Molokai because it was so small and quiet but Kauai has the food. We did eat well there, no doubt about it. |
Yes, the Shrimp Station is still there. And, there is a place across the street that has seafood tacos that are supposed to be very good.
Hey wahine! What did you buy from Juny????
Can't keep a good post hidden! How are you guys? Every morning when I wash my face with orchid/vanilla soap from Kiluea Candle place, I take a fast trip back to paradise.
Hi Cheryl! It's hard to get rid of that "Kauai Bug" when it strikes, isn't it?
I loved reading this thread as my niece is moving to Kauai in October with her husband and family. They are not sure where they will buy but probably on the north side.
She can not wait to move there as she fell in love with the island years ago. They are selling everything in NY and drive across country and flying out from CA. The only reason for October to move is she had to get shots for her dogs and has to wait otherwise the dogs can not go with her. |
Wow, travelbug44, isn't that a dream come true?!
Yes icee, I have gone from Kauai withdrawal ICU to the step down unit. But still withdrawing. What is it like there in July/August?
I kind of glazed over on the magic words ---- "ahi benedict". I am soooooo there. I have no idea where Gaylords is -- but as soon as I post this I'm heading to Google pronto!
"What is it like there in July/August?"
It is hot, crowded, buggy and more boring than ever! ACKKK. |
And, we will all be there for the bikini/speedo exhbition in JULY, 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D
((r)) |
Another newbie here. I have visited this forum as a guest several times and thinking that this forum will help me. I am glad that I have decided to join your community and I know that you guys will be a lot of help to me as I learn more about kauai. I hope that I will be able to help you guys here as well with a bit of knowledge. Have a good one.

Olesouthernbelle, Yes, for her it is. She has lost a child a few years ago and has since adopted 2 special needs children. She her sons, daughter, son in law, and husband are leaving everything behind and following their dreams. God bless them for having the courage.
I second that, travelbug44. Good wishes on them!
Iceeu2--you're killing me, this thread is still going? Giving me Kauai withdrawl again!
With a little bit of luck we'll get it up to 100 in no time!
