Well, iceeu2, you seem to be the Fodorite "IT-girl"! Over 100 posts. Congratulations?

And, ladies, I have a feeling that $650 might be getting away cheap. You sound like a wild bunch & it might take the cleaning crew a few days to pick up after your party! lol

iamq Jul 29th, 2009 08:26 PM

HV, I'm no lady. :-D

gyppielou Jul 30th, 2009 03:24 AM

The sad truth is that before I leave a rental, I freshly launder the bed linen and towels, take out the trash etc. . .

iceeu2 Jul 30th, 2009 04:04 AM

Virgin, you're gonna want a piece of the $650 cleaning fee after your trip to Kauai! Believe me....you just wait((r))

iamq Jul 30th, 2009 05:42 AM

I'm s little like gyppie. :-D
We always leave our rentals in fairly good shape. We always put the dishes in the d/w and turn it on, put the bed linens and/or towels in the washer and turn it on. I wouldn't want to clean a rental for a living so I think it is doing a good thing to give cleaning person an easier go.

iceeu2 Jul 30th, 2009 05:56 AM

Well, most rentals have in their agreements that you take out the trash, start the dishwasher, sweep up the sand, put all the towels and linens in one place, etc!

The cleaning people have to turn the place in pretty fast order sometimes so it's all spiffy for the next people coming in.

((r))

iamq Jul 30th, 2009 06:07 AM

Well..we usually like to do a little extra and go beyond what is layed out in the rental agreement, whatever that might be. 8-)

I STILL don't get everyone's fascination with Kauai. [(

gmac Jul 30th, 2009 06:25 AM

I am with Kal...Why Kauai????

imq--those houses are o.k, if you weren't so cheap you could find a nice place to stay! :)

You know I am pretty high flautin'

iamq Jul 30th, 2009 06:33 AM

gmac. I know, but I do the best I can. M ties my hands and allows me only a small stipend on which to spend on travel. It is very frustrating. And now with the economy in a tailspin, he's cut back so much that we have to fly business and not first class! BooHoo! What's a girl to do?

Kal Jul 30th, 2009 06:47 AM

....so my reaseach into this odd phenomena continues.

The things I do for this board.

gmac Jul 30th, 2009 09:45 AM

iamq--As long as you still get the fresh baked cookies and the sundae bar..I guess you'll just have to suck it up!
