Ausable Chasm

Hello!
Will be traveling through Upstate New York with teenagers 13/17. Anyone been to Ausable Chasm? Is it worth going to, or just a tourist trap?? Let me know ASAP...leaving 7/17.

Let you know ASAP? Who made you queen?

Here's a thought--try contributing information before coming here and demanding some.

I apologize to everyone out there for Sarah's remarks. There was NO need for her to be rude. And as for her using the term "retarded" as part of her fake email address, how low class. Making fun of those less fortunate than you is quite offensive.

As an educator of special needs chldren I would point out that Sarah may just need some diversity or sensitivity training.

Thank you for listening.

And as I read the posts again, I realize that Sarah was the initial poster. Most likely the first responder was not a Sarah at all. Just a person with very bad manners.

Hi Sarah,
I was there as a teenager, and although my siblings LOVED it, it was probably the most terrifying adventure of my youth! Don't push anyone with a fear of heights to participate. The rapids ride was fun at the end.
Have a great trip!

Sarah

We went by Ausable Chasm last Sept. they wanted around $17.00 to go in. I did not pay it seemed too high for what I saw from the road. Took some nice photos from the bridge.

It's a little bit of a tourist trap. My husband loved it but it meant skipping Shelburne Museum which I would have preferred. It is more fun than The Flume in NH because of the boat ride at the end.
