Anywhere to get discount tickets for Las Vegas shows?

We plan to be there for a few days in Sept and I about had a heart attack when I started looking at prices for shows! Celine's show was $250-$470, O was I think $200 and up, etc. Any possibility of discount tickets anywhere? Thanks!

You won't find discount tickets for Celine Dion or any of the other big attractions. So, either plan on spending the big bucks and lower your expectations and settle for less than the top tier attractions.

Howard, I appreciate that information. Does anyone have any recommendations for less expensive shows that they really enjoyed, maybe $100 or less? I'm not a cheapskate, but just can't really afford $400-$600 or more for 2 people for 1 show! Thanks.

O tickets are $99, $125 and $150. You can buy them direct from the Bellagio. Were you looking at tickets offered for sale by a ticket agency? The Celine tickets start at much less that $250. I just checked Ticketmaster and they have them starting at $75.45, with the best seats selling for $195. I never buy Vegas tickets from a ticket agent. You can alwsy get them for face value by reserving them in advance, or sometimes you can get lucky and get them the day of the show at the casino.

There are two half-price show ticket booths on the strip. One is at the Coca-Cola bottle near MGM, and the other is next door to the Harley-Davidson Cafe. They sell same-day show tickets and open at 2 PM. NO, they won't have O, Celine, or Blue Man, but they will have lots of the magicians and celebrity impersonator, and comedy shows.

Personally, we love to see comedians, and are going to see Jay Leno when we're there this time. We saw George Carlin last time. Leno was $85 a ticket and Carlin was $60.

I was checking Celine tickets out for my Dad the other day too, and aren't the cheaper (75$) tickets for a special group that you have to pay to join? Just wondering if anyone knows about this Team Celine thing.

Christie, thanks for that info. We may buy tickets ahead for one show and see what's available at the half-price booth for a second.

Gotphish, I also saw something about the Team Celine thing and wondered what it was and if it was worth it, as I didn't have time right then to look into it more. Anyone have experience with this? Is it a good thing?

I looked it up. It costs $25 to join and you csna save a mere $5 on tickets. Without TeamCeline membership mezzanine seats are $79, as opposed to $74.

heretoday, makes you wonder why anyone would do this, unless you were going to see the show more than 5 times!

Hann, thanks for that link. They did have O at a discount. According to Bellagio's website, tickets aren't available until three months before your date, so at this point the discount site can't tell me what seats I would be getting, only the category. Do you know if they give you seat numbers if you book after the three-month point? Thanks.
