Any discounts going for "Movin' Out" in NYC?

I know tickets are kind of tough to get for Movin' Out but is there any chance of getting 2 discount tickets anywhere for late December-early January? I've checked with my American Express Gold but there is nothing available. Any thoughts on this. I don't need the best seats, but don't want the very last row either. (Also would consider Dance of The Vampires if this has any discounts going). Has anyone obtained such tickets on ebay? Thanks! "Poor" Annie

Forget it, Annie. You're looking to find discount tickets during the busiest time of the year for Broadway!

Have you tried Playbill.com - the play is not doing as well as expected and you may start seeing some good deals - keep looking

Annie, I'm kind of in the same boat as you and I've been unsuccessful. I finally broke down and paid the ticketmaster prices including all the add on fees for tickets to Movin' Out. I have decent seats (not great but they're OK). Unfortunately, the tickets that were available on ebay didn't work for the dates I'll be in NYC. (ebay was the first place I looked). This is interesting what Stan wrote, my research seems the opposite (but then again what do I know). Maybe it's just the time of year that we're going where there is far more demand then supply. I have heard nothing but good about this play!! I heard they really improved it from when it was playing in Chicago (didn't get such good reviews there). Guess I'll find out for myself. Good Luck with your ticket search!

I can't offer suggestions for where to find the best deal on tickets (I kind of doubt that there are any more until late January perhaps) but I can commend you on the choices of either Movin'Out or Dance of the Vampires. I've seen them both and they are both truly EXCELLENT (and I'm a tough critic...I'm not really a critic, just an avid Broadway/off Broadway theater goer). If I were you though, I wouldn't wait, it will just get more difficult for late December or early January. We get lots of tourists here during those couple of weeks!

Annie, should you get some decent prices on Movin' Out, would you report back to us when, where, how much. I too am planning a trip to NY in January and it sounds like I'm interested in the same plays you are. I've been reading up and they sound great. I'm poor too! I can probably budget for one but if there's anyway, I'd love to see them both....yeh, dream on! You can email me privately if you prefer. Thanx! Tommi
