America's Railroads on Parade

Does anyone know if America's Railroads on Parade is still in business? I saw it listed as a Williamsburg attraction, but I can't find any information about it anywhere. My husband and son are very much into model trains and this place sounded perfect! If it's not in business anymore, does anyone know of any other train museums in the area? Thanks!

Do you mean America's Railroads On Parade at 1915 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185? Give them a call at (757) 220-8725.

Thanks anyways Happytrails. It just rings & rings. Does anyone know of any other model railroad museums between Williamsburg and Virginia Beach?

Well, at least they still pay their telephone bill (unless the phone has been giving to some other business). I found a Motel 6 that advertises it is near the exhibit. Maybe they can help. Let me know:

Motel 6 Williamsburg #0316
SR 199 at Richmond Road/US 60
Williamsburg, Virginia 23185
(757) 565-3433

It looks like you got your answer on TripAdvisor. I found a railroad site in which somebody stated they thought the place had folded.

My nephew is a railroad enthusiast too.

Have fun: HTTY

It closed a few years ago but I don't know where it went. There used to be some good displays at a toy store in Surry but that also closed. The last I heard was that the displays from the toy store were moved over to the Children's Museum in Portsmouth but I haven't been there since and can't tell you for sure.

Thank you everyone for your replies. Birdie, I think I will try the Children's Museum in Portsmouth. It's an hour away but it looks like it might be fun. And dowab, thanks for the website. HTTY, thanks again for all of your responses. I'm sure we'll have a great time in Williamsburg no matter what. Staying at the Powhatan so even sitting by the pool will be great! Thanks!
