YEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
Can you believe it!?! I am so glad they won, and I spent most of the show thinking they were absolutely going to lose. It just goes to show you, you can never underestimate the sheer power of LUCK. (They got their winning break when they were the first to discover the flight to Dallas was delayed.):-D |
I posted on the new thread, too, but I am sooooo glad Chip and Kim won. The editing was good because I thought they would lose up until the very end. The airline delay was all it took for them to win. Good show, can't wait for the next one.

What excitement -- I had to video tape and watch after the race ended, got to bed W-A-A-A-Y too late! Great that Chip and Kim won, and a very suspenseful conclusion. :0
And much as I couldn't stand Colin, you have to give him props for pre-arranging a car with fast driver for the race to the finish line. I was so afraid that driver would make the difference -- 'twas a brilliant idea. ;) Interesting link, QueenMab -- answers some of the things we wonder about as we watch. Looking forward to the next run. |

I agree! One thing about that driving. At the end, C&C seemed to come walking in from father way than Chip & Kim. We didn't see their car. And just before that there was the distant sound of a siren for a second or so. Wonder if the driver got stopped? Keith |
Keith: According to an AR website, Colin and Christie's car had a tire blowout that may have been caused by driving over broken glass on the shoulder of the road!
They had to call for another car and actually arrived almost an hour after Chip and Kim. The editors did a great job in making it all seem so close and they didn't show the blowout because it would have ruined the tension of the ending. |
