9 days for a East Coast road trip! Suggestions welcome and appreciated!

Will have 9 full days for a road trip from northern-virginia to the far north east! Will be traveling by car, with 3 kids under 4!

Been to Niagara Falls and montreal, but was thinking to stay in the US and see Maine, Rhoad island, Hersheypark, etc.

Goingood late Jul . Any thoughts or recommendations?

I see you have changed directions, but I still think 3 children under 4 would appreciate vacationing in a beach house or a mountain cabin and not in the back seat of a car. Trust me, they will get older and can appreciate all this sight seeing you are trying to do. They will probably never appreciate all the driving, sitting close together in that back seat.

Socal,
No change in direction. Our CA trip was modified to be a Florida trip (driving still). That trip is in August bthis trip is 9 days instead, and is in July.

Ah, as the nana of 7, 3 of whom are toddlers, I cannot even imagine these driving trips. Good luck and best wishes in the planning process, that part of the country is not part of my travel knowledge, think we made one trip years ago with our then older children.

With children under 4 you might want to visit Sesame Place rather than Hershey Park while in PA. Dutch Wonderland or Knoebels Park are also alternatives for younger children.
