What's your experience with groupon.com?

I did a Fodors search for "groupon" and "groupon.com" and came up with only one match -- I'm surprised!! Anyway, if you've used groupon.com for international travel, what's been your experience? Thanks for any and all comments!!

It's not difficult to find reviews of Groupon kwood.
http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.groupon.com

With 489 out of 819 rating them 1 star, what else do you need to know?

You could easily have Googled 'Groupon reviews' and 'Groupon travel deal reviews' for yourself.

Yep, did all that. Obviously. Looking for experiences directly from Fodors folks.

Sorry, I have not used Groupon internationally. I used it a few times locally without any problems.

Kwood, there was a poster on the Europe forum who bought and successfully had a trip to Italy through either Groupon or Living Social. I think it was a cooking trip. I remember she liked it so much that she either considered or even did the trip again, without Groupon. I think it depends on the vendor and the travel window. I keep an eye on Groupon deals, but their travel deals are too specific in terms of the timing restrictions.

Pinxtos - That is the reason I haven't used Groupon for travel either. The deals are either too specific or don't fit my timing.
