What’s Your Favorite Travel Wallet

Last time I used a wallet that had 2 bill slots which I liked. I could separate my dollars from the local currency. What I didn’t like was the Velcro used to keep it closed because every time I opened it, I felt it was noisy and just drew attention to what I was doing.

What’s your favorite?

I don't use a "wallet" when I travel.

How helpful🤔

I just replaced my travel wallet with a

Lifeventure RFiD Protected Zip Bifold Wallet — Slim Wallet for Travel, Eco-Friendly, Recyclable Material

which I bought on Amazon . Good brand, inexpensive and does exactly what I want. Space for cards, coins and notes and very compact. RFID protection is a must these days and the zip closure is much better and quieter than my old Velcro. Doesn’t ha the two note divider but they do have a tri fold version which goes but I felt that was too bulky.

Actually I think it is very helpful since I don't think using a regular "wallet" is the safest method when traveling.

Sure, more information... I have various zippered pouches. One clear one for local currency the size of bills, a small coin purse for local coins, and one for USD (which I leave in the room safe with my passport and debit card). Snack-size ziplocks work as well. I carry a soft fabric tote as my daily bag. I leave my regular leather purse and wallet with normal credit cards I won't need at home.

Thanks catch23 - I’m going to take a look at that wallet

Thanks suze - idea of a clear pouch is interesting. I also leave my regular wallet at home and only carry what I think I’ll need for my trip. Your comment on the coin purse made me remember that I have a multiple layer coin purse I used several years back (right before COVID) when I visited several different countries all with their own currencies on one trip. It worked great.

Just what I've found works best for me Hard to describe but these are clear flat zippered cases, about the size of paper currency laid flat. I think they were maybe freebies from a cosmetics purchase years ago? To me having a "wallet" is just asking for it to get stolen (lol).

I got it as a present and is the only one I use and travel with.

I had the same problem with Velcro. I use a slim zippered travel wallet now that keeps money and cards secure.

I switched to a slim zip-around travel wallet and found it much better than Velcro ones. It’s quieter and feels more secure, especially in crowded places. I also like ones with separate compartments so I can keep different currencies apart like you mentioned.
