I am confused

I am confused as to what is the right thing to do when I see, in my opinion, poverty in many countries. My presence in the countries is supposed to help local economy by paying hotels, food, and transportation, but on the other hand it is painful to see many people (in my opinion) suffering in poverty, many appear disabled. Looking at the conditions of often dangerous sidewalks, their government is not capable of helping the poor and disadvantaged. Obviously I cannot help them all, and ignoring is painful, feeling guilty, and frustrating on my part. How can anyone be so oblivious to this condition and enjoy “cheap vacation”? Should I stop traveling to these countries?

I think this is the best help you can offer them. Because your travel will help some of the people in that country to earn some money, as well as the country, will receive some help grow its economy.

Actually, in most countries corrupt governments don't want to help their people. They are trying to distract their people with other issues so they can stay in power using those issues.
