I have a hard sided Monos Hybrid medium check-in suitcase, with catches, not zip, that's only been on one trip so far. It held up well with only a couple of scuffs. It is fairly heavy, empty, but seems to hold quite a lot. We both also have Eagle Creek soft sided suitcases that we have had for quite a number of years. One had to get a zip replaced, but otherwise they have held up very well, over long distance plane trips and shorter car journeys.
