Family Travel to Galapagos and Machu Pichu on a Budget
I know this vacation (2 weeks) will not be cheap but please pass along any good ways to save money on this trip. Our kids are 15, 13, 11. We have traveled pretty extensively (Egypt, Greece, Israel, Turkey, Cyprus, Costa Rica, Europe) so we understand how to get around a bit. I have to imagine in this economy that there are ways to save significant cash without compromising comfort or safey. Thanks!

You can self guide on a shoestring cheaply
cheapest to fly RT into LIM deluxe bus up to Tumbes
cross to Ecuador...then bus back down the Gringo Trail
to MP...cheap lodging on your way
