tours of BA

Since we will only have 3 days in BA, what do you suggest we do about getting a good overview of the city. Bus tour? Private car tour? Can you be specific? Thanks

We enjoyed our small group tour with Eternautas. www.eternautas.com The guides are historians and offer group and private tours on a range of areas within the city.

BA has one of those hop on hop off double decker buses which is a great way to spend the day and get orientated. It gets really busy during the middle of the day so advise to start early. It costs about ARS50 per person and comes with audio guide.

You could try a bike tour. The city is flat so easy to get around. You can hire bikes yourselves or get a guide to go with you

If you are there on a Sunday, the San Telmo market, along defensa street is great if you are into shopping

For arts the MALBA is the best of the galleries

A tango show in the evening

And that should cover it!

<b>"Can you be specific?"</b>

Very specific. With your very limited time, you might want to consider a private tour with English speaking guide as arranged by Cintia Stella of WOW Argentina http://www.wowargentina.com/home.php You can even e-mail her at [email protected] and get a rough estimate of costs which you will find are surprisingly affordable. She can also arrange airport transfers too.

We hired a private guide for an all day tour on Christmas Day though :http://www.buenostours.com/. We really emjoyed the tour and it was a good orientation to the city.

Alan, the owner, is a GREAT guy and very helpful.

(If you book with them - bring poor Alan a decent beer to drink )
