We had a wonderful tour with Eternautus last year. It was a private tour and they took us where we wanted to go with very interesting stories of Arg. history and color. The guide was knowledgable, intelligent and quite an effective purveyor of the history, culture, architecture and drama that is Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires Historico also gets excellent reviews: http://buenosaireshistorico.com/

And do not forget the BsAs Free Tours: (http://www.buenosairesfreetour.com)

And Cicerones - a group of Porteños who provide free tours.

And as a private guide: Cintia = [email protected] is highly recommended for several years.

There is also the Hop-on-Hop-off Bus for City wide Tours.

Have a great trip.

We did the BA Free Tour. The guide was very nice- but we went on a week day in December and it was VERY crowded- over 30 people. The spots we stopped at were highly congested and I really couldn't hear her. If you have limited time and money isn't an issue- I'd go for a different tour. Maybe off season it's a bit better.

I believe that all the tours are on in February. Do not forget the Cicerones (free) tours of Recoleta Cemetary on Thursday mornings.

In February the cemetary is wide open with little shade, so do bring water, etc. and try to go during the the morning or evening hours, if possible.

Both Eternautas and BsAs Hisitorico provide excellent tours - as do a number of private guides.

Enjoy your trip. ~MarnieWDC

The Cicerones do free tours of wherever you would like them to go .. just give them a call and arrange a tour of the places you are interested in. They are always highly recommended .
