Day Tour of Machu Picchu by Vistadome Train
Hi,

Planning a day tour of Machu Picchu by Vistadome Train around 20th or 21st Oct 2009.

Please suggest tour operators.

You don't need a tour operator.

Buy your train tickets online at www.perurail.com
Buy tickets for MP in Aguas Calientes, also bus tickets. No reserves needed.

You can hire a guide at the entrance.

Better to take the train from Ollantaytambo, lots more choices, use a taxi from Cusco to Ollanta.

I agree. Buy your tickets online from Perurail. You can print your boarding pass at home. I would take the train from Ollanta, since it's only 90 minutes. We hired a guide at the entrance which worked out fine.

when I'd been to Peru a few years ago, I was advised NOT to purchase from Peru rail online, there were lots of problems with online purchases. Do a search here before you deceide to purchase online.
