Sources for beads/gems in BA
Scarlett, AV (or anyone else!)
My dear friend is a jewlery designer. She would love me to bring back some rhodocrosite (sp?) and some Argentine made beads. Do you know a good source?
Thanks!

I love these people. A young man and his wife, the entire shop is nothing but beads of all sorts, findings, floor to ceiling ..a little bitty Aladins Cave for Beaders. They speak a little English .. it is just a short hop from the Plaza Serrano ..

If you go to Misiones you should visit the Indian Grotto, this is located in Garuhape, on National Route Nº 12, this is an important attraction where archaeological remains were found.
My mother went last May and brought me lots of stones, gems, and she found the prices to be much more cheaper than they are in Buenos Aires
There isn't too much info about this place in english, I would suggest you ask your travel agent.
