SFO: Need hotel nearby that offers long term parking
Any recommendations on a hotel/motel near SFO that allows you to stay one night and leave your car for a week or more as part of the package? (Can't seem to turn up any info when I search here.) Thanks!

Just wanted to report back for future searchers on our park-sleep-fly experience, which was excellent. The website gave us a choice of about half a dozen hotels near the SF airport, and many other cities are listed as well.
I chose La Quinta, which was one of the least expensive. For about $100 we had a large, clean room (nothing fancy), complimentary breakfast, shuttle to the airport, and parking for up to 14 days. What a great deal! The only caveat I offer to others is that the shuttle on our return ran every half hour and made 2 other stops. (It was Sunday evening.)
When we stayed at the El Rancho we had to fill out a form with the car license number, description, and our date and time of return. They store your car offsite and return it when you return. La Quinta simply tells you to park anywhere in their lot. When we returned, we went straight to our car and drove off. To my surprise, no one ever asked for our license number or car description. How do they know how long you have left your car? In other words, if your car was there longer than the time allowed by the package, it doesn't seem that it would be a problem or that you would be charged, because there's no record of when the car came in. Just an observation...

Marilyn~we have used El Rancho and Clarion Suites. Clarion had stopped for awhile but that was when the dot-com boom was on. We've stayed at El Rancho a few times and it was fine. I think the longest term is 10 days. You simply call El Rancho upon return and they pick you up at SFO. It's about $150/noc for a single double bed and the parking. They do give a triple a discount. Have a great time wherever you're going!

Hey Sweetie...Don't get both Marilyn AND me started on "The El Ruancho"! >
Loved The Clarion Suites. That was the hotel where the guy put up a funny saying on their billboard every day?
Right by The Westin?
Marilyn-Is La Quinta north of the airport..or as I'd ask Mrs Kal "on the Candlestick Park side of the airport"?
:-"
Nothin' worse than getting back from a trip and you get stuck waiting for 2-3 trips by your hotel's shuttle.

Kal, I would have a hard time telling you where La Quinta is exactly because we arrived there pretty late after a birthday dinner in Yountville. (In other words, I was asleep.) It's somewhere on South Airport Blvd. along with all the other similar places, right behind a Lyons restaurant.
Pam, this was $50 less than "El Rauncho" and closer to the airort, breakfast included, better value IMO.
