Staten Island Hotels?
Looking for a hotel on Staten Island to stay while attending a family wedding. When I searched at Orbitz and Expedia, they gave me NYC or Newark hotel choices. Are there any places actually on SI??
Thanks

I only know of a few hotels on Staten Island, there's The Staten Island Hotel on Richmond Ave. (718-698-5000) and a Hilton Garden Inn on South Ave. (718-477-2400). Both are business oriented, and acceptable accomodations. There is also a B&B in Great Kills where my brother stayed after his weddding, I know it's across from the Old Bermuda Inn catering hall if that helps.

The B&B's don't seem to get good reviews on TripAdvisor, although the one my brother stayed in was not on the list (I think it was new as of September.)
Stick to the Staten Island Hotel or the Hilton Garden Inn, or pick which one is closer to where you need to be. If you let us know where the wedding is, we can tell you which one would be more convenient. (My brother lives in Staten Island, so I can ask him!)

If it's near St. Vincent's Hospital, chances are the wedding is likely at the Snug Harbor Cultutal Center. As mentioned, the two hotels are the best choices. Both we be about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
If you were to stay in NYC on the weekend, you could get a decent rate at one of the Downtown business hotels. If you take the Staten Island Ferry, a cab ride to the reception would be about 10 minutes.
Missjanna, the Old Bermuda Inn is not in Great Kills. It is is Tottenville, about 4 miles away.
