I plan on taking the I-15 Northbound at 1 a.m. next week. I have driven this road in the past, but only during the day. I am a bit concerned about driving at night and wanted to know if the road is known to be more dangerous at night (dark); what things I should watch out for while driving. If there is anything you feel I need to know that I have not inquired about, I would certainly appreciate it.

Watch out for deer. This is the peak season for deer-vehicle crashes which average around 4,000 per year in AZ.

Cira, maybe tell us where you live. This would anable us to estimate the problems you maybe will have.
To say: I didn't want to drive this route in darkness. But maybe I am too risk adverse?

It gets dark here at 5 these days. So you would be driving in the dark if you left at 6 pm. There are plenty of people who do that drive in the dark--deer and black ice could be an issue. But otherwise you should be fine. It's a major freeway. And not a long drive at all.
