Hotel in San Miguel de Allende

Hello,

We are now shifting our plans around a bit and going to San Luis Potosi first and then on to San Miguel de Allende. We had Casa Calderoni booked for our previous dates, but now that we're looking for the 23rd to the 27th December, it is fully booked. Can anyone recommend any other decent, but not insanely expensive, options in San Miguel de Allende? We will not have access to a car so ideally relatively convenient as well.

Thanks

As I recall, I think I suggested Casa Calderóni and B&B's typically aren't your 1st choice. Even so, another similar property would be Casa de La Noche. Another more 'mexican' style non-boutique hotel would be Hacienda Monteverde. I tend to suggest lodging a bit removed from the jardin because of noise & cost but yet still having some colonial or Mexican charm, and generally under $200/night usd. Don't know what you consider insanely expensive. Of course, it's a holiday week so rates will be higher, but lots of properties still should be available. You might also see what Golpe de la vista boutique hotel goes for on various search engines.

We stayed in Casa Schuck which we liked as it was convenient, great breakfast and nice room. Don’t know rates now but you could take a look.
