Auto Train Question

For those of you who have traveled on the Auto Train, are valuables safe in your vehicle?? Any experiences to share? TIA

I have many friends who have taken the auto train for years and have never had anything taken from their cars.

Thanks, schmerl. Do you know if your friend took any special measures in protecting things?

No.
Some of them go to Florida for three or four months, and back in the day even took FAX machines with them and other things they needed for their business. They really load their cars up with everything they need. Nothing was ever taken from their vehicles and they have been doing this for many years.

My cousin took the Auto Train one driving up and back. It was okay although as someone he was talking to once they boarded did tell him that someone's car will be first off and someone's car will be the last. Heading north, it is still a long drive afterward back to NY and if your car happens to be the last car off, not the best although it certainly does help with avoiding the wear and tear on the car itself and the drive which can be tedious.
