Hi everyone (first post on the forum!),

My husband and I will be traveling to Japan in March 2026. One evening, we’re planning to stop for drinks at the bar in the Park Hyatt Tokyo (the one featured in Lost in Translation). After that, we’d like to have dinner (around 8-ish pm) somewhere nice in the Shinjuku area.

We’re looking for a proper restaurant rather than an izakaya (we’re saving that for our first night). Ideally, we’d love a Japanese restaurant, and we’re open to any style (sushi, kaiseki, tempura, etc.). If it has a romantic atmosphere, even better!

If you’ve been to a great spot in Shinjuku that you’d recommend, I’d love to hear your suggestions.
