Thinking of going to korea for January and February?

Hi everyone. Im thinking of going to korea in January and February. Can anyone help me with things do do/avoid, just general things to help with my decision and places to visit. Im already looking at busan,Seoul and deagu. Any help will much appreciated. Thank you.

It will be cold, cold COLD , even in Busan. You might consult weatherspark.com for some climate data.

I'm surprised Daegu has made your short list of destinations. It is an interesting place, but the traditional medicine markets have been "modernized." If that's your reason for going, note that there are markets in Seoul that are more likely to show traditional medicines in an old-style way.

I went in May and so can't comment about going in January or February.. Nevertheless you might find some useful information in my trip report:

Hmmm food for thought. Thanks for your advice and useful tips there. When spending is it better to pay cash or card?

Sorry -- my time in Korea was too long ago to comment about that. ATMs are widely available, so you can probably play it by ear.
