Hello, I’m looking for suggestions for an area I can add to my current itinerary. In September, I’ll be spending 4 days in Mu Cang Chai, 3 days in Ninh Binh filled by Hanoi. I’m concerned a week will be too much time in the city as I prefer nature over cities. I’d like to add another area but am not sure where. Any suggestions? Would prefer not to add on additional travel time to places that aren’t in this loop. Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Perhaps consider the Mai Chau Valley and/or Pu Long NP which could fit in nicely between MCC and Ninh Binh. Another option might be the Ha Giang loop but that would be a separate trip in an entirely different direction.
