Travel pictures

I am posting my photo collections because I believe that if someone is interested in getting photographic information via travel pictures collections are a good way to start. One can drill down to more specific areas, in some cases just the countries, in others provinces and cities. Or this might be enjoyable for the armchair traveler.

Michael, thank you for sharing the link to all your wonderful photos. I have loved looking at so many, especially those from France, while planning trips and I'm sure there will be many others who will find them interesting and useful.

We were with an educational tour group, one of the first not associated with either Friendship Associations or Esperanto to visit China in 1979. On the way we stopped in Japan and visited Kyoto and Nara. In 1981 I attended a conference in Tokyo and traveled through the country for a week with a train pass. I think that at least major cities destinations were also in English which allowed using the train timetable to know when to board the right train.
