Roads Trip: Hidden Food Gems Philadelphia to Rochester

Hello. We are taking a road trip from Philadelphia to Rochester. Any recommendations for good local hidden gem-type places to stop and eat along the way. We will not likely want to stop before hitting NY state.

We'll most likely take the PA turnpike to 81/11, and then take rt. 90 across. The alternative is a little longer but not too much: taking the PA turnpike to Rt. 80/15/86/390.

Thanks in advance!

In Rochester, Magnolia's Deli and Cafe on Park Ave.. famous for their Tomato Soup, enjoyed by President Obama when he visited Rochester. Park Ave is also home to Jine's and The Frog Pond. In both Rochester and Syracuse there is Dinosaur Bar BQue. If going through Ithaca, there is the venerable Moosewood.
