Traveling from New Hampshire, USA to NS

My husband and I are planning a road trip to Nova Scotia this summer. We're thinking to go from NH to Bar Harbor, Maine. Then from there to Lubec over the bridge to Campobello, from there ferry yo New Brunswick and ferry again to Nova Scotia. Does that sound doable? Also, are there hotels/motels on Campobello? Or do we stay in NB once we get there before crossing to NS?

Did you stay on Campbello? Also, did you do the same route back to NH? We're debating doing a more inland route home. Maybe, through VT or just taking the ferry out of Yarmouth back to ME. We expect there's not a whole lot to actually do in NS but we both have roots there so visiting just to look around.

We camped the entire trip and we continued back to the mainland and drove the Gaspe Peninsula - up and around the top and then south on the west side

Awesome it was. I should mentioned not knowing how much time you have, but have you thought of taking the ferry or bridge to Prince Edward Island as long as you will be in Nova Scotia. It is an absolutely lovely place and the seafood there is terrific. Personally I would prefer it over Campbello

Yes, we are talking about PEI and any other areas we might want to check out. Time isn't an issue as we're both retired. What's limited can be our energy at times.

Did you see this post concerning PEI? I listed our favorite places on the island. We are also retired, a wonderful thing…lol, been visiting the island since 1985, for the last 10 years we spend a month on the island, truly a beautiful place. If you need more information let us know.
