Tokyo Hotel Kinshicho
This is a nearly month long trip to Japan in April.
Everything is virtually planned, with hotels, places to visit (long list!), except, the last night. We'll be in Osaka at the end, but have our return flight at 5 p.m. on April 29th, which happens to be Showa Day. So rather than fight the crowds on a train back to Tokyo to catch a plane at Haneda, we felt it smarter to simply return to Tokyo on the 28th and use some of our Marriott points, which will inevitably expire. The only property that we can afford on points is the Moxy in Kinshicho.
From what I've read, it's a big party area with lots of bars and clubs. But close to public transportation, and easy to get to Haneda the next day. Last night will be super fine for us, especially because we are fine with lively and noisy areas of town. Don't know the area at all, though.
So I guess the question is, Is the property acceptable; would this area be safe; and would we be laughed at being in our early 70's bar (not club) hopping for our last night there? We'll be in Tokyo for over a week at the start of our trip in early April, so I'm guessing we'll have gotten around to see a lot already.
Thanks in advance,
SG

Thanks mrwunrfl! I ended up forgetting about the Marriott points and booking the Shibuya Excel Hotel with Chase points at the Scramble Crossing, just to be in the thick of things, last night. It has direct access to Shibuya Station, which I think makes it easier to get to the airport with all our luggage the next day.

You would have a 4 min walk to Shibuya Station or to Shibuya Mark City Hotel where you can get the limo bus to Haneda (T3).
Airport Limousine
I would probably book the bus departure from the Mark City Hotel because the bus stop will almost certainly be in front of the hotel. And it is the first stop, so best choice of seats. Maybe the bus stop at the station would be harder to find, or maybe not IDK.
You do have rail options, but transfer is required and would mean hauling the luggage thru three stations vs just having the guy throw it on the bus.
I swearv I booked the limo bus online but can't find out how. Saw this that shows a stop at your hotel and 2 stops at the station
