Parrita - Playa Palo Seco - Waves for Surfing or...?

We are looking to stay in the area of Parrita on the beach in late March. We are wondering if the waves are big at that time of year (surfing only) or would be okay for bodysurfing / boogie-boarding for our two kids ages 12 and 14. We want to be able to be in the water a lot of the time. If you know please comment! TIA

the waves can get quite big with v strong currents in the beaches closest to Parrita (esterillos/ hermosa) but if you go down a little further to Jaco they will be perfet for body boarding and you can spend the whole day in the water!
