1 hour layover London - possible?

Is this possible? I am saving hundreds of dollars if I take this flight. I am coming from USA and passing through Hearthrow. My flights are connecting in T2. I am ok with running to my flight, I have done it in the past. I just wonder if Hearthrow is really that big and busy? Is it possible????? I know passport control can take up alot of time. That's all I'm worried about in such a busy international airport.

Will your originating flight be 10 minutes late? How long will it take to get off the first plane? Will there be a line somewhere? Are you timing from landing to take off, forgetting that planes close their doors before the scheduled take off time.

Not safe. Of course I suspect that they will not sell you a ticket for this as one hour may not be a "legal" connection time.

Don't try it.

Yes, a ticket is available as a way from USA to Egypt. USA to London To Egypt.

I decided against it anyway. I heard to avoid London Hearthrow all together from many people.

Welcome to Fodors. One booking or two? Is your final destination outside of the UK? (I assume it is).

If it is all on one ticket then they figure it is a legal/makable connection. But if you are late they will put you on the next available flight - which might not be the next flight. If on separate tickets this is definitely not a good idea.

You will have to go through security and that is where your biggest problem is.
