Road cycling guide in Costa Rica

Does anyone out there have suggestions on who offers custom road day trips for cycling? I am interested in the Liberia, Tamarindo, Arenal areas as well as Limon for March ‘25
Thanks

You could check with Desafio in the La Fortuna/Arenal area. I know they offer biking trips.

You're welcome. They're a great company. We've used them several times for other things. Hope you find a tour you like.

If there's something to be found, the folks at Desafio can do it. The problem here is that Costa Rica is not a big cycling destination, and Tamarindo definitely isn't. Tamarindo will also be beastly hot in March. Arenal and La Fortuna do have some cycling excursions, as does the area around Cartago and the Orosi Valley, east of San Jose. Costa Rica's national cycling team trains in the latter.

Bicycle travel is common for getting around town in Puerto Viejo and Cahuita on the Caribbean coast, and a lot of places there rent bikes for that purpose. I'd distinguish that from a cycling excursion.

Sure. Give Desafio a chance, but I wouldn't count on being able to find much in and around Tamarindo.
